It’s a good thing Andy married a medical person…

So, Andy and I have been accident prone all our lives. If anyone is going to get hurt, it will be us.
First major mishap in the DR: We are getting ready to go do laundry, when I hear the sound of shattering ceramic, a strangled “Aaagh” and a cry for help.
The culprit: A dropped coffee mug.

This was the culprit and our one mug. We got it from Uncle Dave & Aunt Sharon's church.

The result: A finger which won’t stop bleeding, sliced fairly deeply.

She's so good at that!

The solution: Sutures! After getting access to the school, I proceeded to give Andy the first set of what may be many sutures to come in our marriage. (And yes, I should be wearing gloves in the first one, but he’s my husband….. and I hate wearing gloves down here. It’s just too hot.)

Step one: numb the pain.
Focus...
Quite the way to spend a Saturday morning, but better than spending the whole day in a Dominican ER.
All done!

And no trip to the Dominican ER!

We’ve always said it’s good Andy married a medical person. I don’t know how many times that boy has had an accident in the years we’ve known him.
